Adopt-a-Pelican

A few of our birds call one of our outdoor aviaries their permanent home. We have 23 non-releasable pelicans that we use for educational purposes. These birds act as ambassadors by helping us understand more about pelicans and how humans have impacted the animal kingdom.

 
Through the PHSS Adopt-a-Pelican initiative, pelican pals can donate $150 to cover the cost of feeding one pelican for one year. This is a tax-exempt donation. You can also Adopt a Pelican as a gift, in which case the certificate will be made in honor of the recipient.

For $150, you get:

• An 8” x 10” photograph of your adopted pelican
• A copy of your pelican’s story
• A certificate of adoption
• An invitation to see your pelican at the PHSS facility
• Tax-exempt donation receipt letter
• The honor of knowing you’ve fed a pelican for a full year
