  • Enough fish for five injured pelicans for one day
  • Enough bandages to treat ten pelicans with cuts from fishing tackle
  • A BIG smile on PHSS staff & volunteer faces

  • Enough stitches to suture four injured pelicans
  • A half a tank of gas for our heavily-used pelican rescue boat!

    Pelican Harbor Seabird Station: Important info
    Visitors
    Our facility is open to visitors daily from
    9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
    Tours
    If you would like a guided tour, or would like to bring more than 6 people, please call in advance at 305-751-9840
    Injured Wildlife
    The Seabird Station accepts all native birds, mammals and reptiles. Injured wildlife can be dropped off 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
    How to help baby bird or mammal
    Many people encounter baby birds or other baby animals that they believe have been abandoned or orphaned. More details you can find here
