Monroe · Ambassador White Pelican

Monroe is an American White Pelican that came to us all the way from Iowa after suffering injuries to both her wings leaving her unable to fly. She now lives a very happy life with us teaching the public about her species and running the flock of permanent pelicans! Check out this article she was in when she was rescued!

Monroe came to PHSS in October 2016 as an adult making her at least 8 years old. She can usually be found in her enclosure with her bestie, Jefe!
