School & camp pRESENTATION (In person)
Thank you for your interest in an education presentation by Pelican Harbor Seabird Station at your school or camp! As Miami's oldest wildlife rehab facility, we are dedicated to educating future generations about South Florida's wildlife. Our presentation includes the history of the Seabird Station, information on the diversity of our patients, common injuries we see, and how students can make a difference in protecting wildlife.
Due to the nature of the presentation (live animals), we limit group sizes to 15-25 students per presentation. However, we are happy to give up to three presentations in a day for different classes or groups. We can also come on multiple days if there are many groups interested in the presentation. Each presentation will last 30-45 minutes, depending on the Q&A at the end.
Cost: $250 for up to three presentations (*on the same day* 30-45 minutes each presentation)
Includes: presentation, two ambassador animals brought to class/camp (either Eastern Screech Owl, opossum, and/or Pelican), coloring sheet and colors + sticker for each child
Optional: Adopt a pelican. For an additional $150 the school or individual classroom or group has the option to ‘adopt’ an animal.
