Helene Valentine retired from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine after 47 years of service. Her primary responsibility has been to protect research. She liaised with multiple departments and facilities, assisted with lab relocations and renovations, oversaw biological specimen storage and inventory, and worked with multiple departments to ensure hurricane preparedness every season. Helene is passionate about protecting our natural environment, enjoys outdoor activities, and never misses an opportunity to travel. Helene currently serves on the board of Pelican Harbor Seabird Station.
