Jacqueline d. greenberg
Jacqueline D. Greenberg (“Jackie”) was born and raised on Miami Beach many years ago. Her biology teacher at Beach High inspired her to study biology, especially animal behavior/ethology. After her undergraduate biology and chemistry degree, she continued her studies by observing the mating behavior of Black Skimmers while living in Tampa.
Jackie sought another path professionally by becoming a Certified Public Accountant in 1976. She currently works in public accounting, but also has applied her trade as the senior financial officer in not-for-profit entities, in banking and as a contract employee with the FDIC.
She volunteers as part of the bicycle patrol along the 15-mile loop of Shark Valley (Everglades National Park). The assignment covers providing educational information to park visitors, a tiny bit of first aid when needed for the cyclists or hikers, and the occasional “Don’t touch the alligator” warnings to some visitors.
Pelican Harbor welcomed her to its Board in September 2019. She hopes to participate in any way possible to make the new permanent home of PHSS a reality.
