Everglades Restoration 101: the history, progress, and impact of the largest environmental restoration project.

  • Pelican Harbor Marina Multipurpose Room 1275 Northeast 79th Street Miami, FL, 33138 United States (map)

The Everglades is a one-of-a-kind ecosystem that provides us with numerous benefits and resources. But the once free-flowing River of Grass has been drained and compartmentalized to give way to farming and urban development. These alterations continue to impact our environment and threaten our sustainability.

A massive environmental restoration project is underway to protect our water supply, our economy, and America’s Everglades. Begoñe Cazalis, Director of Communications from The Everglades Foundation will be discussing the history, progress, and impact of Everglades restoration and the role of The Everglades Foundation in saving this national treasure.

Join us at 6:30pm for light drinks and snacks prior to the presentation.
